Donghua University is adjacent to Hongqiao Economic Development Zone. It is one of the state-key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Its feature disciplines, such as Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, International Trade, Material Science, and Information Technology have received high reputation. International Cultural Exchange School (ICES) of DHU is in charge of the promotion, admissions, management and service of the higher education of international students and any mandarin related trainings for the foreigners. In 2008, there were totally 2816 international students from 109 countries have studied in dozens of programs at DHU.
