Singapore hopes the United States is able to stabilize its relationship with China, because Asia depends on stable ties between the two countries to have a secure and predictable environment to prosper, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in an online interview hosted by Washington-based think tank Atlantic Council, the Straits Times reported.
Some countries stick to the Cold-War mentality and attempt to readopt the containment policy, noted Compaore, calling on the world to abandon the Cold-War mentality and ideological prejudice, jointly deal with issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change, and safeguard world peace and promote human progress together.
Noting that the problems brought by globalization and free trade should be dealt with through internal reform, Wang said that acting like a sick person who forces others to take medicine for his own illness or even resorting to decoupling will not work.
Meanwhile, Sun Jie, director of China Cultural Center in Fiji, said the center has played a very important role in promoting cultural exchanges between China and Fiji over the past years.

"I don't know why people like the term 'Cold War' so much. The correct lesson we should learn from past history is that such a cold war serves nobody's real interest," said Cui in an online interview with Nicholas Burns, executive director of the Aspen Strategy Group, and Andrea Mitchell, chief foreign affairs correspondent of NBC News, while attending the 2020 Aspen Security Forum on Aug. 4.
"We will continue to require enterprises engaged in deep-sea fishing to strictly abide by relevant laws and regulations," he added.
"The history of China-U.S. relations over the past 41 years teaches a lot," he said, adding that the valuable experiences have proved effective in the past and remain effective now and will continue to be effective in the future. Enditem
